CAUTION: Machine is heavy and can fall or roll causing serious injury or death to you or others. Use a jack with a minimum jacking capability of 22 680 kg (25 tons). Machine must be on a flat, level surface with multi-function lever in neutral, engine off, and key removed.

Machine must be in harvest mode before jacking procedure is performed.

CAUTION: Do not perform service or jack machine when parked on a grade. Park on a level surface and chock drive wheels to prevent machine movement.

IMPORTANT: Machine damage can occur. Jack up machine only at designated jacking locations. A tall tripod-type jack is required.

  1. Park machine in harvest mode on a flat, level surface. (See POSITIONING MACHINE FOR HARVEST in Operating the Machine section.) Place multi-function lever in neutral. Shut off engine and remove key.

  2. Engage handler hydraulic lock valve (A) in locked position.

  3. Verify that axle stop (B) is in storage position.

  4. Place a tall tripod-type jack beneath rear main frame tube at left side jacking location (C) or right side jacking location (D). Position jack so that frame tube is seated in saddle bracket on jack.

  5. CAUTION: Machine is heavy and can fall or roll causing serious injury or death to you or others. Clear all bystanders away from machine before jacking up machine.

    Clear all bystanders away from machine, then using jack, raise machine only enough to change or repair tire.

  6. Reinstall wheel and tire and tighten wheel nuts.

  7. Carefully lower machine to ground and remove jack.

  8. Torque wheel nuts to specification.

  9. Disengage handler hydraulic lock valve.

    If tripod-type jacks are not available, machine can be lifted using bottle jacks as follows:

    1. Position jack (B) and heavy solid blocking as needed on solid flat surface beneath each end of axle.

    2. Position steel plate (A) between jacks and axle to avoid damage to axle housing.
