Rinse the Solution Tank and the Spray Boom

CAUTION: Spray system can contain hazardous material which can cause serious injury or death to you or others. Wear protective clothing, eyewear, and gloves. Use rinse system in an area where people, animals, vegetation, and water supply cannot be contaminated.

  1. Drain the solution tank. (See Drain Solution Tank in this section.)

  2. Start machine and operate engine at 1800 rpm.

  3. Turn off spray system master button (A) and solution pump switch (B).

  4. Turn suction valve handle (B) to rinse tank position.

    IMPORTANT: To avoid chemical getting into the rinse tank, open the Quick Fill™ valve handle (A) and drain lines into a suitable container. If lines do not drain in less than 1 minute contact your John Deere dealer.



  5. Turn the pressure bypass/rinse valve handle (C) to the right-hand side, to direct solution for the rinse nozzles inside the solution tank.

  6. Depress agitation switch (E) to open electric agitation valve (if equipped).

  7. Turn the agitation valve handle (F) to open position (if equipped).

  8. Press the remote solution pump switch (D) to load position.

    NOTE: When using remote solution pump switch (D), pump is designed to operate in low speed. Engine speed automatically increases to 1800 rpm.

  9. Add water to solution tank to clean spray system. Add cleaning agents if necessary.

  10. Remove the protections (if equipped):

    NOTE: The machines prepared for spraying the sugar cane have additional protections.

    1. Take off the rubber straps (C).

    2. Disconnect the slots J (D).

    3. Release the protection rubber (B).



  11. Raise the eductor, and pull handle (A).

  12. Lower the eductor and raise the cover.

  13. Turn the eductor flow rate valve (A) to MAX position.

  14. Turn the eductor hopper valve handle (A) to open position.

  15. Turn clockwise the eductor rinse valve handle (B).

  16. Close the eductor rinse valve.

  17. Check if the eductor is empty.

  18. Turn the eductor flow rate valve handle to closed position.

  19. Turn the eductor hopper valve (A) to closed position.

  20. Place the cover back on hopper and lift the eductor back to its original position.

  21. Turn the suction valve handle (A) from rinse tank position to solution tank position.

  22. Turn the pressure bypass/rinse valve (B) to spray position.

  23. Switch downwards the remote solution pump switch (C) to spray position.

  24. Turn on the spray system and spray rinse water through the spray boom and the fence row nozzles (if equipped).
