Handling Batteries Safely

Battery gas can explode. Keep sparks and flames away from batteries.
Never check battery charge by placing a metal object across
the posts. Use a voltmeter or hydrometer.
Always remove grounded (-) battery clamp first and replace grounded
clamp last.
Keep the connections terminals and interconnections of well-fitting
to avoid bad contact, it may cause overheating and damage the battery.
Do not leave tools and disconnected cables on the batteries.
Avoid hazards by:

Charging batteries in a well ventilated area.

Wearing eye protection and rubber gloves.

Avoiding use of air pressure to clean batteries.

Using correct battery booster or charger procedure.

Do not use chemical cleaning products to clean batteries.
-
Do not smoke or use fire near the batteries.
