Remove and Install Wheels

CAUTION: Sprayer with spray boom is heavy. To avoid injury or death, only lift and support the sprayer when it is empty. Only jack wheels using supplied lift bracket and support the machine using the JDG11094 sprayer support stand or equivalent. Do not apply jack pressure at any other location on the axle. Lift only one wheel at a time.

Before jacking a front wheel, turn it fully outward.

  1. Park the sprayer on level ground.

  2. Remove the wheel shield (if equipped).

  3. Securely lift and support the sprayer using the lift bracket (A) and sprayer support stand (B). See Use Sprayer Support Stand and Lift Bracket in this section.

  4. Lift and support the frame to specification:

  5. Properly secure and support the wheel.

  6. Remove the wheel nuts (A).

  7. Carefully remove the wheel.

  8. Install the new wheel.

    NOTE: Install the wheel with the information signs (A) outward.

  9. Install the wheel nuts (A).

  10. Crosswise tighten the wheel nuts (A) to specification:

  11. Inflate the tire to specification. See Check Tire Inflation Pressure in this section.

  12. Operate the sprayer for 1 hour and retighten the wheel nuts.

    IMPORTANT: Damage to final drives and wheel can occur if the correct wheel nut torque is not maintained. Tighten the wheel nuts in a crosswise pattern to specification. Tighten the wheel nuts after the first 1 hour of use and daily thereafter until the correct torque is maintained. Check the wheel nuts torque at every 100 hours.
