Adjust Inner Fold Cylinder—Type B

1. Level and raise spray boom to the highest position and fold in against the spray boom stops.

   NOTE: The procedure of Adjust Inner Fold Cylinder can be performed on both sides of the sprayer.

2. Remove the retaining ring (D).

3. Remove the cotter pin (A) and the pin (B).

   CAUTION: The hydraulic cylinder is heavy and can cause injury if it is not supported with a suitable lifting device.

4. Support the cylinder with a suitable device.

5. Pull out the fork (C).

6. Turn the fork (C) in clockwise or counterclockwise as needed until spray boom is directly above the spray boom rests (spray boom should deflect spray boom bumper approximately 6 mm (1/4 in)).

   NOTE: Try to keep the factory setting. Only perform this procedure in cases of real need. If in doubt, see your John Deere dealer.

   IMPORTANT: Before reinstalling the hardware, make sure that the fork (C) is threaded at a minimum five threads on the hydraulic cylinder rod.

7. Reinstall the hardware in reverse order of removal, using a new retaining ring.
