B - Control Unit

C - Malfunction Code

D - Condition Code

E - Description

When the STOP indicator (A) turns on, immediately stop the operation, reduce the engine speed to low idle, shut off the engine and turn the ignition key to the run position to observe the Message Center for problem identification. Correct the problem before restarting the machine.

When a malfunction or a situation that is out of range is detected, the display is cleared and a full-page diagnostic trouble code containing the control unit (B) followed by an industry standard number is displayed. Numbers to the left of the decimal indicate the malfunction (C) and numbers to the right of decimal indicate the condition (D). A brief description (E) is also shown.

See the diagnostic trouble codes list in this Section for possible actions an operator can take. Record and give this information to your John Deere dealer, if needed to diagnose the problem.

If a code is not listed in this Section of this manual, see your John Deere dealer.

Service Alert Indicator

NOTE: When a service alert indicator (A) turns on, restart the engine to verify if the active diagnostic trouble code reappears before contacting your John Deere dealer. Sometimes the diagnostic trouble code can be corrected by resetting the communication messages when the sprayer is restarted.

A description (B) of the alert is shown at the GreenStar™ display and it remains visible as long as the condition persists.

See the diagnostic trouble codes charts or the Troubleshooting Section in this manual for possible actions an operator can take. Record and give this information to your John Deere dealer, if needed to diagnose the problem.

If a code is not listed in this Section of this manual, see your John Deere dealer.
