Driving on Public Roads
CAUTION: Never turn on the worklights while driving the machine
on public roads, especially at night. A bright white light emanating
from the rear can confuse the drivers.
IMPORTANT: Comply with all local governmental regulations before
driving the machine on a public road.
-
Before driving the machine on a public road, ensure that all
clearance and turn-signal lights are functioning correctly. Check
if the lights are visible to other road users.
-
Engage the hazard warning lights switch and ensure that the
headlights are appropriately adjusted for use on a public road.
-
Check if the SMV emblem is installed.
-
Fold the spray boom and make sure that it is lowered onto the
spray boom supports.
-
Adjust the tread width to the narrowest position.
-
Disable the BoomTrac
Pro (if equipped).
-
Relieve the spray boom pressure.
-
Disengage the traction control when traveling on roads.
-
Always use the turn-signal lever whenever turning left or right.
Do not forget to return the turn-signal lever to center position after
completing the turn.
-
Always drive the machine in and appropriate speed range that
allows safe control to be maintained.
-
Do not exceed the maximum transport speed of 50 km/h (30 mph).
-
Never exceed the maximum tire load during road driving.
CAUTION: When transporting the machine downhill at transport
speeds, it tries to hold the target speed until the engine begins
to overspeed. At this time, the vehicle speed could increase beyond
target speed. Before starting down a hill, select a speed range (30
mph maximum) that is appropriate for the machine load and the steepness
and length of the slope.
