Starting with Booster Battery

A - Engine

B - Weak Battery

C - Booster Battery

D - Positive Terminal of Weak Battery

E - Positive Terminal of Booster Battery

F - Ground Connection

IMPORTANT: If this procedure is necessary, do not directly connect booster battery cables (C) to terminals of weak battery (B). This may damage the batteries or even cause an explosion.

Use cables terminated in “crocodile” clips, and with sufficient current carrying capacity.

Procedure

1. Connect one cable between the (+) terminals (D and E) of batteries (B and C).

2. Connect one end of the other cable to the (-) terminal of booster battery (C) and attach the other end to a ground connection, e.g.: engine housing, chassis.

3. Start up engine.
