Operate in the Field

CAUTION: Do not turn on the machine until you are sure that nobody is in the danger zone.

1. Unfold spray boom.

   A - Raise/Lower Switch

   B - Solution Pump Switch

   Press raise/lower switch (A) to adjust the operating height.

3. Set up the SprayStar™ control unit for the desired application. (See SprayStar™ System Section for proper setup procedure.)

4. To engage the solution pump, push forward on the solution pump switch (B).

5. View spray operation displayed on the monitor screen.

   A - Rate Control Switch

   Turn rate control switch (A) to desired application rate (1, 2, or 3) or to the manual pressure setting.

   NOTE: Rate selected is highlighted on the monitor screen.

   NOTE: If equipped with the Swath Control Pro™, the AUX position on the rate control switch is used for the map-based rate.

   A - Multi-Function Lever

   B - Spray Boom Section Switches

   C - Master On-Off Switch

   Push multi-function lever (A) slowly forward to start forward motion.

8. Lift all spray boom section switches (B).

   NOTE: Enabled spray booms have black fill color indication on the display.

9. To start spraying operation, press master on-off switch (C).

   NOTE: Actively spray boom sections have cone indication under the spray boom section on the display.

    A - Master On-Off Switch

    At the row end, press master on-off switch (A) to stop spraying. All other switches can remain in preset positions.

    NOTE: Spray system shutdown is not immediate. Solution flow will continue for a few seconds after pressing master on-off switch (A). For best response time and coverage, turn off spray as you slow for the row end.

11. When aligned with the next row, press master on-off switch (A) to resume spraying.

    NOTE: Spray system start-up is not immediate. To overcome delayed response, press master on-off switch (A) while moving forward to start spraying just before solution is needed.
