Relieve Spray Boom Pressure

IMPORTANT: Use of the spray boom pressure relief function is not recommended when using an after-market solution system equipment that is not from John Deere.

The main purpose of the spray boom pressure relief is to minimize the possibility of the sprayer nozzle bodies leaking while in transit.

After the spraying operation is complete, the spray boom sections valves open for 3 seconds, after the solution pump and the remote load shutoff. The solution pressure must be 27 kPa (0.27 bar) (4 psi) or less, and the engine must be running.

NOTE: See Enabling Boom Pressure Relief in SprayStar™ System section to enable/disable this function.

  1. Turn off solution pump switch.

  2. Turn off the remote load switch.

  3. Place spray boom center frame to fully raised position.

NOTE: Spray boom can be folded or unfolded.
