Recommendations to Eliminate Air from Solution System

Check for a suction leak using soapy water at all the fitting and hose connections.

Eliminate air coming from the nurse system by having a valve at the end of the fill hose. Always close this valve before disconnecting from the sprayer to ensure that air does not get into the system.

Eliminate the air from spray booms:

  1. Fill the solution tank with approximately 473.2 L (125 gal) of water.

  2. Unfold and lower spray booms for access the nozzles.

  3. Close all nozzles, except the closest to the end point of each section.

  4. Remove the spray tip of the open nozzles.

  5. Lower the center spray boom section.

  6. Tilt both spray boom wings all the way up.

  7. Run the sprayer in manual spray mode at 620.6 kPa (6.2 bar) (90 psi).

  8. Perform at least three spray on-off cycles as follows:

    1. Turn on the spray system master switch, and watch for water discharge from open nozzle bodies.

    2. Turn off the spray system master switch, and allow machine this way for at least 15 seconds.

  9. Watch the discharge from each open nozzle. Repeat spray on-off cycle until output is uniform. Continue spraying until only 189.3—283.9 L (50—75 gal) of water remain in the tank.

  10. Rotate all nozzle bodies to spray position. Reinstall spray tips previously removed.
