Park Brakes Operational Check

Check the brakes proper operation after each emergency brake use. Perform the following steps:

1. Park the machine fully loaded on a 20° slope or in the steepest slope available. Park the machine with the rear up-hill. Press emergency brake switch.

2. If machine rolls or creeps, see your John Deere dealer for service or replace the brake disks.

3. If machine remains parked, internal hub brake disks are acceptable and do not need servicing.

   NOTE: Successive usage of the emergency brake will cause internal hub brake disks to wear or damage. Brake components are not covered under warranty.
