Visually Inspect the Suspension Bushings

Visually inspect the suspension bushings and the suspension rod connection for damage.

The rubber in the suspension bushings should not show excessive wear or damage, but cracks are normal.

NOTE: With the help of a screwdriver or a spatula, press the rubber to make sure that there are no internal deterioration.

Measure dimension (A) one each side of the bushings. Replace the bushings that have a difference of 5 mm (0.20 in) or more between the two measurements.

A - Dimension

B - Suspension Bushings

C - External Rubber

D - Inner Rubber

IMPORTANT: The suspension bushings should not rotate or misalign in the suspension rod, in that case stop the machine, and solve the problem.

NOTE:

  • In some cases, the suspension bushings (B) can show external wear without reducing its performance. It is the inner rubber (D) that works to protect the suspension rod, not the external rubber (C).
  • To make sure that the rubber has no internal deterioration, press the rubber with the help of a screwdriver or a spatula.
