Loose cab air filter element

Check cab air filter for correct installation.

 

Damaged seal around cab air filters, or damaged cab air filters

Replace cab air filters. (See Replace Cab Air Recirculation Filter and Replace Fresh Air Filters in Service—As Required Section.)

 

Excessive air leak

Check cab air filter mounting.

Blower air flow too low

Clogged filter or air intake screen

Clean.

 

Heater core or evaporator core clogged

Clean.

Heater does not shutoff

Heater hoses connected incorrectly

See your John Deere dealer.

Air conditioning system not cooling

Insufficient blower speed

Increase the blower speed.

 

Dirty cab air filters

Replace the cab air filters. (See Replace Cab Air Recirculation Filter and Replace Fresh Air Filters in Service—As Required Section.)

 

Dirty side and front screens, radiator, air conditioner condenser, radiator screen, and air conditioner condenser screen

Clean.

 

Heater hoses installed backwards

Install heater hoses correctly. (See your John Deere dealer.)

 

Low voltage

Have John Deere dealer to check charging system.

 

Low refrigerant

Have John Deere dealer to check refrigerant level.

 

Engine fan/alternator belt slipping

Check belt tension.

 

Heater on

Turn heater to Off position.

 

Outside temperature too low: below 21°C (70°F)

Wait until day gets warmer. If there is a malfunction in system, see your John Deere dealer.

 

Loose wiring connector

Tighten it.

 

Air conditioner compressor stuck

Rock compressor pulley back and forth.

 

Defective temperature control switch

See your John Deere dealer.

 

Restriction in refrigerant system (High pressure switch disengages system)

See your John Deere dealer.

 

Faulty expansion valve

See your John Deere dealer.

 

Clogged line strainer

See your John Deere dealer.

Intermittent cooling

Air restriction

Clean side and front screens, radiator, air conditioner condenser, radiator screen, and air conditioner condenser screen.

Water leaking from under the operator’s seat

Clogged air conditioner condenser drain hoses

Clean drain hoses.

 

Heater hoses leaking

Replace heater hoses.

Radio does not work

Blown fuse

Replace fuse.

Strange odors inside the operator's cab

Dirty cab air filters

Replace cab air filters.

 

Clogged drain tubes

Clean.

 

Evaporator condenser pan dirty

Clean pan and outlet with compressed air.

Ice flecks blowing from evaporator

Shut off the air conditioner

See your John Deere dealer.

Cab pressure indicator reading at low end of indicator

Cab blower switch turned off

Turn on switch.

 

Door or window not latched

Latch door or window.

 

Clogged cab air filters

Replace the cab air filters. (See Replace Cab Air Recirculation Filter and Replace Fresh Air Filters in Service—As Required Section.)

 

Damaged door or window seals

Replace the damaged seals.

 

Lost seals around the operator’s cab components

Seal all operator’s cab openings.

 

Problem cannot be identified and corrected

See your John Deere dealer.

Cab pressure indicator reading at high end of indicator

Damaged seal around the cab air filter element

Replace the cab air filter. (See Replace Cab Air Recirculation Filter and Replace Fresh Air Filters in Service—As Required Section.)

 

Missing, or incorrect air filter

Replace the cab air filter. (See Replace Cab Air Recirculation Filter and Replace Fresh Air Filters in Service—As Required Section.)

 

Air filter not seated properly

Install it correctly.

 

Problem cannot be identified and corrected

See your John Deere dealer.
