Check valve stuck shut in load sense line

Clogged orifice, or hydraulic line

Remove and clean the orifice, or the hydraulic line.

 

Faulty inner spray boom fold cylinder

See your John Deere dealer.

Outer spray boom section does not fold out

Faulty switch

Replace switch.

 

Damaged, or corroded electrical connections

Repair, replace, or clean electrical connection.

 

Failed solenoid coil or relay

Replace coil or relay.

 

Sticking hydraulic spool

Check valve stuck shut in the load sense line

Hydraulic cylinder magnetic switch releases

Fold spray boom and retry unfolding procedure.

Inner spray boom section does not fold in

Faulty switch

Remove and clean the orifice or the hydraulic line.

 

Faulty outer spray boom cylinder switch

Faulty inner spray boom fold cylinder

See your John Deere dealer.

Inner spray boom section folds in part way, and stops

Hydraulic cylinder magnetic switch releases

Unfold spray boom and retry folding procedure.

Outer spray boom section does not fold in, or inner spray boom folds in before outer spray boom

Faulty switch

Replace switch.

Repair, replace, or clean electrical connections.

Check valve stuck shut in the load sense line

Faulty outer spray boom fold cylinder

Spray boom will not return to level after rolling in either direction, or spray boom will not roll freely

Suspended center frame binds at wear plates, or center mounting bearings too far forward on shaft

Spray boom does not raise or lower

Faulty switch

Replace switch.

 

Damaged, or corroded electrical connections

Repair, replace, or clean electrical connection.

 

Failed solenoid coil or relay

Sticking hydraulic spool

Check valve stuck shut in the load sense line

Spray boom lift raises too fast

Install correct size orifice.

One individual spray boom function does not stop when switch is released, or is slow to release

Sticking hydraulic spool assembly

Faulty solenoid valve

Repair or replace solenoid valve.
