Replace Primary and Secondary Engine Air Filters
Primary Engine Air Filter
IMPORTANT: Replace the primary engine air filter after cleaning
it five times or after 2 years of operation, whichever occur first.

Park the machine and shut off the engine.

Remove the ignition key from the key switch.

Access the engine compartment. (See Access Engine Compartment
in Access to Service Points section.)

Pull out the lock end (A) and push the lock (B) downward.

Open the cover (C).
-
Carefully pull out the primary engine air filter from the engine
air filter housing.

Clean out all the dirt and debris from inside the engine air
filter housing.

Install a new primary engine air filter into the housing.
NOTE: Insert the primary engine air filter with the arrows on
the decal pointing to the housing.

Lower the cover (C) and secure it in place with the lock (B).
IMPORTANT: If the primary air filter is replaced due to damage,
replace the secondary air filter at the same occasion regardless its
condition.
IMPORTANT: NEVER run the engine without the primary engine air
filter.
Secondary Engine Air Filter
IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to clean the secondary engine air
filter.
Replace the secondary engine air filter at every fifth change
of the primary engine air filter, or after 2 years, whichever occur
first.

IMPORTANT: To avoid air intake system contamination, install
a new secondary air filter immediately after removing the old filter.
To access the secondary air filter, remove the primary engine
air filter first.
