Setting Roller Compression Unit in Transport Position (Option)

1. Drive forage harvester backwards until gauge wheels (A) are fully turned towards the front.

2. Raise front shield of forage harvester so that gauge wheels (A) are no longer touching the ground.

NOTE: Gauge wheels are automatically locked and secured against twisting when gauge wheels are off the ground.

Fully extend cylinders (B) to raise roller compression unit (C).

3. When transporting the pickup by road, always move the gauge wheels (A) inward to the transport position.

a. Hydraulically foldable gauge wheels (option for model 630C):

IMPORTANT: It is absolutely necessary to raise the roller compression unit (B) completely before moving gauge wheels (A) inward. Failure to do so can result in machine damage.

Actuate hydraulic cylinders (C) and move gauge wheels (A) inward.

b. Standard gauge wheels:

Remove drilled pin (A) on both sides.

Move gauge wheels inward as shown and secure rods (B) with drilled pin (A).

4. Slowly lower the roller compression unit (A) until cylinders are completely relieved from hydraulic pressure.
