Adjusting Crop Deflector Working Height

Depending on crop conditions and windrow thickness, deflector working height must be adjusted so that material is well canalized up to the feeding auger.

Adjust deflector working height as follows:

1. Raise crop deflector arms (A) and secure crop deflector with the safety lock device.

2. Remove pin (C) of adjustable stop (B).

3. Rotate adjustable stop (B) to align upper or lower hole with deflector arm (A) hole.

4. Reinsert pin (C) secure with quick lock pin.

5. Repeat on opposite side.

6. Release crop deflector safety lock device.

7. Slowly lower deflector.

8. Check that distance (F) between deflector sheet (E) and the cylinder strippers (G) is within specification:

Specification

Deflector Sheet to Cylinder Strippers -Distance 290 mm (11.5 in.)

NOTE: This distance is a basic adjustment. Readjust according to field conditions.

To avoid deflector assembly twist, check that stop adjustment is the same on each side.

9. Adjust crop deflector sheet (E) angle. (See Adjusting Crop Deflector Sheet Angle in this Section.)
