Attaching the 630C Pickup with Oscillating Frame

1. On each side of attaching frame, remove angle (A) and spacer (C) (if equipped).

2. Lock oscillating frame (B) by means of lever (A).

3. Only when attaching the pickup to a forage harvester equipped with IVLOC:

Remove guard (A).

4. The drive shaft must be adapted, depending on attaching the pickup to a forage harvester with a wide or a narrow feeding channel.

Proceed as follows:

To adapt the drive shaft to the narrow feeding channel (6000 series, 72XX - 75XX series harvesters), drive out spring pin (C) and install the long splined shaft (B).

To adapt the drive shaft to the wide feeding channel (77XX, 78XX series harvesters), drive out spring pin (C) and install the short splined shaft (A).

IMPORTANT: Installing the wrong splined shaft can result in machine damage.

Reinstall spring pin (C).

5. Press pin (A) and simultaneously slide drive shaft (B) onto pickup input shaft (C) until the pin engages.

6. Lower the cutterhead assembly and position it parallel to the pickup. Move the harvester toward the pickup and raise the cutterhead assembly so that lugs (A) are located exactly underneath the pickup frame.

7. Continue to raise pickup until it is off ground.

8. Remove quick-lock pin (E) (if equipped). Engage locking pins (B) in pickup attaching holes (C) by lifting and sliding bolts (D). Reinstall quick-lock pin (E) (if equipped).

NOTE: If pickup attaching holes are not facing locking pin, adjust pickup attaching hole supports. (See Adjusting Pickup Attaching Hole Supports (630C with oscillating frame) in this Section.)

9. Connecting drive shaft:

On 6000 and 7000 Series Harvester

IMPORTANT: It is absolutely necessary to readjust harvesting unit float system after pickup has been attached. (See your self-propelled forage harvester Operator's Manual.)

Press pin (A) and simultaneously push drive shaft yoke (C) onto splined shaft (B) at length-of-cut transmission until pin engages.

10. Lock jackstands (A) on the r.h. and l.h. side in the highest position. To do this, pull out spring-loaded pin (B) and let it re-engage when the jackstand is in its final position.
