Adjusting Deflector Compensating Springs
To avoid abrupt movements of deflector which can lead to premature wear of deflector components, the compensating spring (A) should be adjusted so that deflector movements are smooth.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Fully lower deflector.
2.
Adjust spring (A) using adjusting nut (C) of eyebolt (B) to obtain length (D) as specified.

NOTE:
The length (D) between inside of spring hooks can be considered as a basic adjustment.
3.
Lift deflector fully up and check for smooth movement. Lower deflector and check for an acceptable time of lowering. Readjust if necessary.
