Starting with a Booster Battery

Gas given off by batteries is highly explosive. Keep sparks and naked flames away from batteries. Be sure polarity is correct before making connections: ground cable to negative pole and starter cable to positive pole of battery.

Reversed polarity will damage the electrical system. Always connect positive cable first and then negative cable!

Connect a booster battery to the battery at the front of the tractor. See "Access to Battery" in "Lubrication and Periodic Service" Section. Connect the positive terminals first, then the negative ones.
