Safely Transporting the Tractor

RW13090-UN-07DEC88
A disabled tractor is best transported on a flatbed carrier.
Use chains to secure the tractor to the carrier. The axles and tractor
frame are suitable attachment points.
Before transporting the tractor on a low-loader truck or flat-bed
rail car, make sure that the hood is secured over the tractor's engine
and that doors, roof hatch (if equipped) and windows are properly
closed.
Never tow the tractor at a speed greater than 10 km/h (6 mph).
An operator must steer and brake the tractor under tow.
