Entering and Exiting the Backhoe

NOTE: RIGHT-HAND AND LEFT-HAND sides are determined when sitting in operator seat of backhoe.

CAUTION: Avoid injury! Lower stabilizer and enter backhoe only from right side of backhoe.

CAUTION: Avoid injury! Stay clear of path when raising or lowering stabilizer.

Entering Backhoe

2. While facing tractor, stand in area between stabilizer (D) and boom (E).

3. Pull back on right side stabilizer control lever (B) to lower stabilizer (D) until foot of stabilizer touches the ground.

4. Set engine speed to 2400 rpm.

5. Enter backhoe using step plate (C) and rail (A).

Exiting Backhoe

6. While sitting in the operator seat of backhoe, pull back on left side stabilizer control lever to fully raise left stabilizer.

7. While sitting in the operator seat of backhoe, push forward on right side stabilizer control lever to lower right stabilizer until it touched the ground.

8. Exit backhoe using rail and step plate

9. Set engine speed to just above slow idle.

10. While facing tractor, stand in area between right stabilizer (D) and boom (E).

11. Push forward on right side stabilizer control lever (B) to fully raise stabilizer (D).
