Installing Rear Hanger-5000, 5010 And Early Model 5020 Series Tractors

NOTE: 5000, 5010 and early model 5020 series tractors use a weldment drawbar support. Later model 5020 series tractors use a cast drawbar support. (See Install Rear Hanger-later model 5020 series tractors) in this group if equipped with a cast drawbar support.

1. Remove drawbar retaining pin (A) and drawbar (B).

NOTE: Rear hanger and drawbar support are heavy. Use a proper lifting device when removing.

2. Remove lower cap screws (C), upper cap screws (D), washers and drawbar support (E).

3. Measure and scribe a line 13 mm (1/2 in.) up from the top of round holes.

4. Slot all four holes.

NOTE: Rear backhoe hanger and drawbar support are heavy. Use a proper lifting device when removing and installing.

5. Install rear hanger (A) and drawbar support (B).

a. Install rear hanger and drawbar support together, ensuring rear hanger is between tractor and drawbar support.

NOTE: Cap screws will be tightened to specification during the frame alignment procedure.

b. Install four M16 x 80 lower cap screws (C) and washers into the bottom of the drawbar support and rear hanger. Snug cap screws.

NOTE: Cap screws will be tightened to specification during the frame alignment procedure.

c. Install six M14 x 45 upper cap screws (D) and washers. Snug cap screws.
