Aligning Frame

NOTE: Before attaching subframe to backhoe mainframe, align frame to front and rear hangers to ease backhoe attachment.

1. Install subframe crossbar (A) in rear hanger slots (B).

2. Push down on end of subframe, at rear of tractor, to pivot subframe in rear hanger. Push down until holes at the front of subframe (C) align with holes in front hanger (D).

3. Install tapered pins into front hanger. Secure with hitch pins.

4. Tighten M16 x 80 lower cap screws (F) in bottom of drawbar support to specification. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

Rear Hanger - Specification

Lower Cap Screw -Torque 310 N·m (229 lb-ft)

5. Tighten M14 x 45 upper cap screws (G) at rear of drawbar support to specification.

Rear Hanger - Specification

Upper Cap Screw -Torque 225 N·m (165 lb-ft)

6. Tighten M14 x 60 cap screws (E) in front hanger to specification.

Front Hanger - Specification

Cap Screw -Torque 225 N·m (165 lb-ft)

7. Remove hitch pins and tapered pins from front hanger and lower subframe to ground.

8. Remove subframe from rear hanger.

9. Later model 5020 and 5025 series tractors: Tighten cap screws (A) to specification.

Specification

Bottom Drawbar support Cap Screws -Torque 310 N·m (228 lb-ft)

10. Later model 5020 and 5025 series tractors: Tighten cap screws (B and C) to specification.

Specification

Rear Backhoe Hanger Cap Screws -Torque 220 N·m (162 lb-ft)

11. Install PTO shield and tighten mounting hardware securely.
