Changing Transmission Oil and Filter (2032R)

CAUTION: Touching hot surfaces can burn skin. The engine, components, and fluids will be hot if the engine has been running. Allow the engine to cool before servicing or working near the engine and components.

IMPORTANT: Contamination of hydraulic fluid could cause transmission damage or failure. Do not remove cap from fill opening unless absolutely necessary.

Severe or unusual conditions may require a more frequent service interval.

  1. Run engine a few minutes to warm the transmission oil.

  2. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety Section.)

    F - Suction Screen Cover

    G - Suction Screen

    H - Magnets

    I - O-Ring

Remove suction screen (G) from transmission housing.

  7. Remove magnets (H) inside suction screen.

  8. Clean suction screen, suction screen cover, magnets and O-ring (I) with a mild solvent. Allow to dry.

  9. Inspect O-ring for damage or cracking. Replace if necessary.

  10. Install magnets inside suction screen.

  11. Install suction screen into transmission housing.

  12. Install suction screen cover (F) with O-ring (I) onto transmission housing with hardware (D) and (E).

  13. Install and tighten all drain plugs.

  14. Put a film of clean transmission oil on seal of new oil filter.

  15. Fill the filter 1/3 to 1/2 full with specified transmission oil.

  16. Install filter. Turn filter clockwise until gasket makes contact with the mounting surface. Tighten 1/2–3/4 turn after gasket contact.
