Attach Mower Deck to Tractor

Ensure that deck is sitting on firm, level ground. A smooth
surface allows deck to be pushed along by tractor.

NOTE: Remove the tire guide (D) when installing a deck on the
3033R, 3038R, 3039R, 3045R and 3046R cab tractors.
Adjust tire guide according to the type of tire on the tractor.

A - Gage Wheels
B - Handles
Ensure that all four gauge wheels (A) are in unlocked position,
with handles (B) parallel to ground. Deck should be resting fully
on ground.

Place tractor in A range four-wheel drive.

A - Tire Guide
Drive tractor onto the mower deck with the inside of left
wheel against the tire guide (A).

If mower deck pulls forward early or appears to be caught in
the lift system, stop tractor, reverse slightly, and move forward
again. If mower deck still does not properly attach, stop tractor,
lock park brake, dismount tractor and determine cause of problem.

A - PTO Coupler
B - Gear Box Coupler
PTO coupler (A) aligns with the gear box coupler (B).

Continue to drive the tractor forward slowly until the mower
begins to pull along ground approximately 102 mm (4 inches) behind
front wheels.

A - Lock
Dismount tractor and ensure locks (A) on both sides have
dropped to locked position. If locks are not engaged, pull the mower
rearward slightly to engage the locks. On first installation, mower
may not lock in position if front link is too short.

Install cotter pins in locked position.

A - Forward Lift Link
B - Hangers
Make sure the forward lift link (A) is nested into hangers
(B).

Start engine and lift mower to full height.

Pull height lock fully forward and place pin in the nearest
hole for transport or set link to desired height.

Lock down all gauge wheels by snapping down handles and ensuring
that lock pins are fully seated in vertical rods.
