Adjusting Mower Wheels

  1. IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! If mower wheels are adjusted incorrectly, the mower deck can be damaged:

    • Wheels must not ride on ground supporting mower weight.
    • Check wheel adjustment each time cutting height is changed.

Park machine on a level surface, not on a slope.

  2. Disengage mower blades.

  3. Raise mower, turn the height-of-cut control to the desired cutting height and lower mower.

  4. Lock park brake.

  5. Stop engine and remove key.

  6. Wait for engine and all moving parts to stop before leaving operator seat.

  7. Set gauge wheel height:

    1. LV27027
      LV27027-UN-09DEC16

      A - Gage Wheel Lock

      B - Lock Pin

      Release gauge wheel lock (A).

    2. Adjust wheel assembly to 9.5 mm (3/8 in) distance between gauge wheels and ground.

    3. IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Ensure that at least one hole remains above lock bracket. In extreme mowing conditions, retract wheels completely to avoid damage.

Install snap lock pin (B) in hole just above gauge wheel bracket.

    4. Repeat for remaining gauge wheels.
