Replace Discharge Chute Cable

1. Start engine.

2. Turn the chute completely to left. Hydraulic cylinder must be retracted.

3. Park tractor safely. (See Parking Safely in Safety Section of the tractor operator’s manual.)

   A - Cable Shield

   B - Stop Nuts

   Remove stop nuts (B) and cable shield (A).

   A - Washer

   Remove the washer (A) on each cable shield bolt.

   A - Cap Screws

   Loosen cap screws (A).

7. Disconnect cable ends from chute.

   A - Nut

   B - Washers

   C - Longer Cable End

   D - Shorter Cable End

   Remove the nut (A), bolt, and washers (B).

9. Remove cable ends (C) and (D) from pulleys. Remove cable assembly.

10. Install new cable so the longer cable end (C) is to the left and the shorter cable end (D) is to the right.

11. Install bolt and washers (B) in the cable assembly eyelet. Install the nut (A).

    B - Screw

    Move chute so the tab (A) on chute is in line with edge of screw (B). Chute opening is towards the left-hand side.

    D - Bottom Left Pulley

    E - Tab

    F - Cap Screw

    Route left (long) cable:

    1. Behind washer (A).

    2. Around the top left pulley (B).

    3. Around the top center pulley (C).

    4. Around the bottom left pulley (D).

    5. Around chute.

    6. Under tab (E).

14. Use locking pliers to pull cable tight.

15. Tighten cap screw (F).

    Route right (short) cable:

    1. Behind washer (A).

    2. Around the top right pulley (B).

    3. Around the bottom center pulley (C).

    4. Around the bottom right pulley (D).

    5. In front of chute.

    6. Under tab (E).

17. Use locking pliers to pull cable tight.

18. Tighten cap screw (F).

19. Move the chute back to the original position.

    Install the washer (A) on each cable shield bolt.

    Install the cable shield (A).
