Adjusting Front Axle Thrust Bolt Torque
NOTE: Prevent excessive forward or rearward movement of front
axle by adjusting the bolt torque at the required service intervals.

Park the machine safely.

CAUTION: Avoid injury! The machine can fall or slip from an
unsafe lifting device or supports.

Use a safe lifting device rated for the load to be lifted.

Lower the machine onto jack stands or other stable supports
and block the wheels before servicing.
Raise the front axle off the ground to take the machine weight
off the front axle.

Loosen the locknut (A).

Tighten the thrust bolt (B).

Do not overtighten.

Oscillate the axle from stop to stop. Check the torque.

Tighten the locknut.
-
Lower the front axle to the ground.
