Checking Coolant Level

Park machine safely.

Raise hood.

A - Recovery Tank
B - Full Hot
C - Full Cold
D - Tank Cap
Check recovery tank (A) coolant level:
-
If engine is at operating temperature, coolant level should
be at the FULL HOT line (B).

If engine is cold, coolant level should be at the FULL COLD
line (C) on the recovery tank.

Remove recovery tank cap (D) if needed to add coolant.

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Using incorrect coolant mixture can
damage the radiator:

Do not operate engine with plain water.
-
Do not exceed a 50% mixture of coolant and water.

Aluminum engine blocks and radiators require approved ethylene-glycol
based antifreeze.
NOTE: John Deere COOL-GARD coolant is recommended when adding new coolant to the cooling system. Follow the directions on the container for correct mixture ratio.
Add recommended coolant if needed.

Install recovery tank cap.

Lower hood.
