Checking and Cleaning Fuel Filter Sediment Bowl and Replacing
Filter (3025E)
CAUTION: Avoid injury! Fuel vapors are explosive and flammable:

Do not smoke while handling fuel.

Keep fuel away from flames or sparks.
-
Shut off engine before servicing.
-
Cool engine before servicing.
-
Work in a well-ventilated area.
-
Clean up spilled fuel immediately.
NOTE: Change filter when fuel level is low.
Checking Sediment Bowl
-
Park machine safely. Allow engine to cool.
-
Check fuel sediment bowl. If water and deposits are detected,
drain water.
-
Place drain pan under sediment bowl.
-
Turn drain cock to open position.
-
Drain water until the orange indicator ring re-seats back on
the bottom of bowl.
-
Turn drain cock to closed position.
Cleaning Sediment Bowl and Replacing Fuel Filter

A - Fuel Shut-Off Valve
B - Fuel Filter

Move the fuel shutoff valve (A) to closed position.
-
Position drain pan under fuel filter sediment bowl.
-
Turn sediment bowl counterclockwise to remove.
-
Clean the filter screen and bowl.
-
Install sediment bowl.
-
Open fuel shutoff valve.
-
NOTE: Fuel system is self bleeding.
Turn key to the ON position for 10—15 seconds before attempting
to start, electric pump purges air from sediment bowl.
Replacing Fuel Filter
NOTE: Change filter when fuel level is low.

Park machine safely. Allow engine to cool.
-
Close fuel shutoff valve.
-
Position drain pan under fuel filter (B) to catch fuel spillage.
-
Turn filter counterclockwise to remove and discard.
-
Apply fuel to surface of new filter gasket.
-
Install new filter to filter head. Tighten to one complete turn
after filter contacts head.

Open fuel shutoff valve.
