Checking Front Axle Oil Level

Avoid damage! Allow oil 1 hour to settle before checking level to ensure accurate dipstick reading. Repeat oil level check after several hours of operation.

  1. Park machine safely.

  2. Allow machine to cool down for at least 1 hour.

  3. Avoid damage! Dirt and debris in oil damages the transaxle. Clean area around opening before removing dipstick.

    A - Dipstick

    B - High Oil Level

    C - Low Oil Level

    Loosen and remove dipstick (A) located on right side of front axle.



  4. Wipe dipstick clean with a rag. Install dipstick but do not tighten. Allow dipstick to rest on top of threads.

  5. Remove dipstick. Correct oil level is between high oil level (B) and low oil level (C) on dipstick. If oil level is low:

    1. Add recommended oil through dipstick fill opening until oil level is correct.

    2. Install and tighten dipstick.

  6. Check front axle oil level again after the first several hours of operation.
