Adjusting Front Axle Thrust Bolt Torque

Adjust bolt torque at the required service interval to prevent excessive forward or rearward movement of the front axle.

    A - Nut

    B - Thrust Bolt

    Park machine safely.



  2. Avoid injury! The machine can fall or slip from an unsafe lifting device or supports.

    • Use a safe lifting device rated for the load to be lifted.
    • Lower machine onto jack stands or other stable supports and block wheels before servicing.

    Raise front axle off ground to take machine weight off the front axle.

  3. Loosen nut (A).

  4. Tighten thrust bolt (B).

    Thrust BoltTorque14 N·m (10 lb·ft)

    Do not overtighten.

  5. Oscillate axle from stop to stop. Check torque.

  6. Tighten back nut.

  7. Lower front axle back to ground.
