Transporting Backhoe

1. CAUTION: Avoid injury! To help prevent injury while transporting backhoe:

   • Look for people or obstacles BEFORE you change directions.
   • LOCK backhoe in TRANSPORT position. See steps below.
   • Keep as far to right as possible on roads.
   • Go slow: Use safe travel speed.
   
   

   Fully raise and center the boom.

2. Fully retract the dipperstick.

3. Curl the bucket back into dipperstick.

4. Exit the backhoe and stand in location between backhoe stabilizer and boom.

   B - Boom Lock Pin

   Install boom lock pin (B), retainer clip, and swing lock pin (A).

6. Fully raise and lock the stabilizer legs.

   Install Slow Moving Vehicle (SMV) sign in bracket (C) on bucket cylinder.
