Disassembling Shipping Pallet

NOTE: Support stabilizers when removing shipping hardware.

1. Remove lag screws (A), wire ties (C) and stabilizers (B). Set parts aside for assembly.

2. Remove lag screws (I) and bumper plate (J). Set bumper plate aside for assembly.

3. Install subframe to backhoe mainframe. (See Installing Subframe to Mainframe in this chapter.)

4. Secure backhoe with a proper lifting device.

5. Remove nuts, washers and shipping plates (H).

6. Remove shipping strap (K).

7. Raise backhoe with a proper lifting device using caution to prevent tipping of the machine.

8. Dispose of shipping pallet appropriately.

9. Lower backhoe onto wood blocks ensuring that it is safely supported. Maintain slight tension on lifting device for added stability.

10. Remove cap screws, lock washers, pin retainers, spacers and stabilizer pins (D). Set parts aside for assembly.
