Installing Stabilizers and Stabilizer Cylinders
1.
Install stabilizer (A), stabilizer pin (B), spacer (C), retaining pin (D), lock washer (E) and cap screw (F).
2.
Remove one cotter pin (J) from cylinder pin (H) on inside of backhoe weldment. Remove cylinder pin. Remove packing wire holding rod end of cylinder to backhoe.
3.
Move stabilizer cylinder to inside of backhoe weldment between bushings. Route hydraulic hoses above cylinder pin (H). Lubricate and install cylinder pin. Install cotter pin (J) on cylinder pin.
NOTE:
Remove rod end cylinder pin and cotter pin from stabilizer (A) and have both ready to install when connecting rod end of cylinder to stabilizer.
4.
Lift stabilizer and install rod end of stabilizer cylinder to stabilizer with cylinder pin (I) and cotter pins (K).
5.
Repeat procedure for other side of backhoe.
6.
Lubricate all grease fittings and pivot points before operating backhoe. (See Lubricating Boom and Stabilizers in Service chapter.)
