Installing Bucket

1. Position bucket (A) under dipperstick (B) as shown. Line up bucket pivot bushing (C) with bushing in end of dipperstick. Lubricate shim (D) with grease and place between bucket and dipperstick on both sides of dipperstick.

2. Lubricate bucket pivot pin (E) with grease and install through bucket bushing, shim, and dipperstick bushing.

3. Secure bucket pivot pin with retainer pin (F). Place spacer between retainer pin and bucket. Install cap screw, lock washer, and nut (G) to hold retainer pin to bucket.

4. Remove shipping wire (H) holding bucket link to dipperstick.

5. Pivot bucket back until bucket bushing (I) lines up with bushing in bucket link (J).

6. Lubricate and install bucket link pin (K). Place a flat washer between bucket and bucket link, if necessary.

7. Secure bucket link pin with retainer pin (L). Install cap screw, lock washer, and nut to hold retainer pin to bucket.

8. Lubricate all grease fittings before operating backhoe. (See Lubricating Bucket and Link Linkage in Service chapter.)
