Connecting Hydraulic Hoses

1. With engine off, and L-pins installed on backhoe, cycle rockshaft position control lever to relieve all pressure on rockshaft.

2. Disconnect Power Beyond pressure hose (A) from female quick-disconnect coupler (B) on Power Beyond manifold.

3. Remove dust cover (C) from return-to-tank male quick-disconnect coupler (D).

4. Connect backhoe hydraulic lines to tractor beyond quick-disconnect couplers as follows:

  • Backhoe female quick-disconnect coupler (return hose) to Power Beyond male quick-disconnect coupler (D) (return-to-tank).
  • Backhoe male quick-disconnect coupler (pressure hose) to Power Beyond female quick-disconnect coupler (B).

5. Remove swing lock pin (A) and boom lock pin (B). Store pins on operator platform.

6. Start engine and run at slow idle.

7. From the operator's seat, bleed the system by doing the following:

  • Raise and lower stabilizers.
  • Raise and lower boom.
  • Extend and retract dipperstick.
  • Curl and dump bucket.
  • Swing boom from side to side.

8. Install swing lock pin and boom lock pin.

9. Stop engine.

IMPORTANT: Check tractor hydraulic fluid level. Add fluid if necessary.

10. Check tractor hydraulic fluid level. Add fluid if necessary. See tractor operator's manual.
