Preparing Backhoe for Detachment (4300-4700 Tractors)

causym CAUTION: KEEP PEOPLE AWAY FROM TRACTOR WHILE ATTACHING BACKHOE. RUN ENGINE JUST ABOVE SLOW IDLE TO KEEP TRACTOR MOVEMENTS SLOW AND CONTROLLABLE.

1. Raise boom to highest position and install boom locking pin (A).

2. Center boom and install swing lock pin (B).

3. Retract dipperstick to full back position.

4. Rotate bucket until top edge (A) is parallel with ground.

5. Raise stabilizers to full UP position.

6. Stop engine.

7. Cycle boom control lever to relieve backhoe system pressure and allow boom to come to rest on boom lock pin.

8. Remove hitch pins from L-pins.

9. Flip up backhoe seat.
