Detaching Backhoe (4300-4700 Tractors)

1. Start tractor. Select a firm, level surface to remove backhoe.

2. Pull rockshaft position control lever rearward to lift rockshaft arms.

3. Pull L-pins from backhoe attaching plates.

4. Push rockshaft position control lever forward to lower backhoe to ground.

5. To aid in easy remounting of backhoe on tractor, position backhoe on ground as shown, leaning away from tractor about 5°, and resting on bucket and boom pivot pin.

6. Check that backhoe hydraulic hoses are clear of attaching hooks and hardware.

7. Slowly move tractor forward and back until rockshaft pins clear backhoe hooks. Rockshaft is pushed down by torsion spring on backhoe.
