Preparing Tractor (4300, 4400 Tractors)

causym CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE BACKHOE WITHOUT FRONT LOADER AND TALL FOLDING ROLL OVER PROTECTION SYSTEM (ROPS) MOUNTED ON TRACTOR.

LOADER PROVIDES FRONT BALLAST FOR BETTER STEERING CONTROL AND MAKES TRACTOR/BACKHOE MORE STABLE DURING BACKHOE OPERATION.

TALL FOLDING ROPS PROVIDES NECESSARY HEADROOM WHILE SITTING ON BACKHOE SEAT.

MOUNT REAR WHEELS IN THE WIDEST POSITION FOR MAXIMUM STABILITY.

1. Park tractor on level surface, stop engine and engage park brake.

2. Remove rockshaft center link (A).

3. Remove the sway links (B), lift links (C), and draft links (D) from tractor.

IMPORTANT: Failure to remove drawbar from tractor will result in damage to tractor and backhoe.

4. Remove the drawbar (E).

5. Install Tall Folding Roll Over Protection System (ROPS).

6. Install Front Loader.

7. Install Power Beyond Kit.

8. If mid-mount mower deck is installed, raise mower and lock SCV valve into centered neutral position.

NOTE: If removing rear tires to change tread width, leave tires off tractor until rockshaft attachment mounting plates are installed. (See Installing Rockshaft Attachment (RSA) Mounting Plate in this chapter.)

9. Mount rear wheels in widest tread width position. (See your tractor operator's manual.)

10. Inflate tires to maximum pressure recommended tire manufacturer. (See your tractor operator's manual.)
