Removing and Installing Tailgate

Removing Tailgate

1. Park the machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

2. Open tailgate.

   Remove and retain four screws (A) securing left rear lens (B) to cargo box.

4. Slide left rear lens rearward to remove.

5. Remove the two cap screws (C) and the cable supports from the cargo box side rails.

   Lift the left end of the tailgate up and to the rear to remove the pivot (D) from the side rail.

7. With one side of tailgate now detached, slide tailgate to the left to complete removal.

Installing Tailgate

1. Install the tailgate by inserting the pivot (D) into the side rail.

2. Apply a medium strength thread lock to the cable support cap screws during installation.

3. Install the cable support cap screws, but do not tighten completely.

4. IMPORTANT: To avoid damage to plastic components, do not over tighten the hardware.

   Install the four lens screws, but do not over tighten.
