Checking Traction Assist Cable Operation

1. Engage the traction assist.

2. Park the machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

3. IMPORTANT: Improperly adjusted traction assist cables can cause transaxle damage.

   See your John Deere dealer if the cable needs to be adjusted.

   Located on back of machine.

   Inspect the traction assist lever (A) and try moving the lever toward the passenger side of the machine.
   • If the lever can not be moved toward the passenger side of the machine, the cable does not need adjustment.
   • If the lever can be moved, see your John Deere dealer.
