Install Front Lift Assembly

1. Lower attachment linkage:

   44 in. Models with Mechanical Lift System

   1. Pull lift pedal (A) back by hand to lower linkage to the lower/down position.

      CAUTION: Avoid injury! Lift pedal is spring-assisted and may have unexpected movement. Lock lift pedal when installing or removing attachment.

   2. Pull lock lever (B) up to lock linkage in the lowered position.

   Push down on lift lever (C).

2. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

   H - Drilled Pin, M10 x 28

   I - Locking Ring

   J - Lift Rod Ear

   K - Drilled Pin, M10 x 28

   L - Locking Ring

   Raise shorter inner lift rod (D) into position between brake rod (E) and bracket (F), and install front yoke of lift rod to ear (G) of rockshaft. Secure with M10 x 28 drilled pin (H), installed from outside in, and locking ring (I).

4. Install rear yoke of shorter inner lift rod to ear (J) of shaft. Secure with M10 x 28 drilled pin (K) and locking ring (L).

   M - Rockshaft Bracket

   N - Mounting Plate

   Verify that outside rockshaft bracket (M) does not interfere with the mounting plate (N):
   • Check for interference, with attachment linkage in lower/down position.
   • NOTE: For models with hydraulic lift system, engine will have to be started to raise attachment linkage. Raise slowly and check for interference carefully.
     Pull up on pedal (A) for mechanical lift models, or lift lever (C) for hydraulic lift models, and check for interference with attachment in raised/up position.
   • If there is interference, disconnect rear end of inner rod, and rotate yoke to shorten or lengthen rod for proper fit. Install inner lift rod and repeat as necessary.

   O - Front Attachment Hitch

   P - Front Draft Assembly

   Q - Draft Pin

   R - Spring Locking Pin

   Align hole in front attachment hitch (L) with hole in front draft assembly (P) and install front draft pin (Q). Secure with large M4.5 spring locking pin (R).

   S - Outer Lift Rod, Long

   T - Rockshaft Bracket

   U - Drilled Pin, M10 x 28

   V - Lift Lever Bracket

   W - Drilled Pin, M10 x 28

   Install rear yoke of longer outer lift rod (S) onto rockshaft bracket (T) with M10 x 28 drilled pin (U) and locking ring.

8. Install front yoke of longer outer lift rod onto lift lever bracket (V) with M10 x 28 drilled pin (W) and locking ring.
