Running Engine in Neutral

1. Sit on the operator’s seat.

2. IMPORTANT: Engine will not run when shift lever is moved into the neutral position without park brake locked.

   Running engine in neutral position may be necessary for some service or diagnostic procedures, or towing machine.

   Lock park brake.

3. Turn key switch to the STOP position.

4. Move transaxle shift lever to the neutral position.

5. Turn key to start position.

6. Press down on accelerator pedal. Release key to the on position when engine starts. Engine should start and run until accelerator pedal is released, or park brake is unlocked.
