Checking Engine Oil Level

IMPORTANT: Failure to check the oil level regularly could lead to serious engine problems if oil level is out of the operating range:

  • Check oil level when the engine is warm but not running.
  • Keep oil level above the dipstick mark.
  • Shut off engine before adding oil.

  1. Run engine to warm to operating temperature.

  2. Park the machine safely. (See Parking Safely in SAFETY.)

    Lift cargo box.


  4. Remove dipstick (A) and wipe it clean.

  5. Install dipstick, screwing cap tight.

  6. Remove dipstick.

  7. Check oil level. If oil is below full line, add oil.

  8. Install dipstick.

  9. Lower cargo box.
