Using Travel Pedals

CAUTION: Children or bystanders may be injured by run over and rotating blades. Before traveling forward or rearward:

  • Carefully check the area around the machine.
  • Disengage the mower before backing up.

Forward Travel

  1. Unlock park brake.

  2. Slowly push down forward control pedal. Machine travels faster the farther down you push the pedal.

  3. Release forward pedal and the machine automatically slows down and returns to neutral.

Reverse Travel

NOTE: Any operating attachment stops as the reverse foot pedal is depressed with attachment engaged.

  1. Stop machine.

  2. Disengage attachment by pushing PTO/RIO switch down to off position.

  3. Look behind the machine to be sure that there are no bystanders nearby.

  4. Slowly push down reverse pedal. Machine travels faster the farther down you push the pedal. Release reverse pedal and the machine automatically slows down and returns to neutral.

Stopping

  1. Release either control pedal and the machine automatically slows down and returns to neutral.

  2. Depress brake pedal. Machine brakes are applied to assist in stopping.
