MXT011512-UN-25JUN14
A - Oil Pressure Indicator
The Oil Pressure Indicator illuminates when you turn the key
to the run position. The indicator goes out when the engine is started.
If the indicator comes on during operation, the engine oil pressure
is too low. Stop the engine and perform appropriate service. (See
Checking Engine Oil Level in the SERVICE ENGINE section.)
B - Fuel Gauge
The Fuel Gauge shows approximately how much fuel is in the fuel
tank. (See Filling Fuel Tank in the SERVICE MISCELLANEOUS section.)
C - Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (X590)
The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminates when the computerized
engine management system detects a malfunction. If light is on, stop
machine, disengage PTO, and shut off engine. If light illuminates
after restart, contact your John Deere dealer.
Engine overheating occurs when there is excessive debris
in the engine compartment area. If overheating occurs, the MIL light
illuminates and the engine goes into a reduced RPM mode. (See Clean-Out
Areas in the MACHINE CLEAN-OUT section.)
D - Mower and PTO Indicator
If the Mower and PTO engagement lever is pulled out when you
turn the key to the run position, the Mower and PTO Light comes on.
If the Mower and PTO engagement lever is pulled outward, the Mower
and PTO light comes on.
E - Hour Meter
The Hour Meter shows the number of hours the engine has run.
If the decimal point is blinking, the hour meter is counting
time.
