Cleaning Pressure Sensor

  1. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety section).

  2. CAUTION: Do not attempt to unplug attachment with machine running.

    • Rotating blades are dangerous. Shut off the engine and remove the key before getting off the seat to inspect the machine and attachment.
    • Thrown objects can cause serious injury. Make sure all machine parts are stopped before raising hopper top or removing chutes.

    Remove hopper assembly and discharge chute. Clean grass and debris from chute and fan outlet.

  3. Lower mower deck to lowest setting.

  4. CAUTION: Compressed air can cause debris to fly a long distance.

    • Clear work area of bystanders.
    • Wear eye protection when using compressed air for cleaning purposes.
    • Reduce compressed air pressure to 210 kPa (30 psi).

    Remove clamp (A) and rubber boot (B) from the fan housing.



  5. Clean all grass and debris from rubber boot, raised opening (C) in fan housing and hose fitting (D).

  6. Install rubber boot so that rib locks into place over rib in the raised opening and secure with clamp.

    Align lower end of discharge chute to fit over mower deck fan outlet. Install discharge chute. Make sure chute stops (E) are against the backplate. Pull on chute to make sure it is properly locked in place.



  8. Install hopper assembly.

  9. Set mower cutting height knob to desired setting.
